With over 35,000 ocean sailing miles, including some 25 years on British Columbia's majestic west coast, - your skipper Pamela Bendall is anxious to share her extensive knowledge of the sea and our local waters with you, the charterer. Pamela has a Masters Limited (60 ton) captain's accreditation. Her 46 foot Kristen "Precious Metal" is designed to explore our waters in comfort and safety and she looks forward to having you join her for the cruise of a lifetime. Pamela has sailed extensively throughout the Pacific Northwest from the San Juan Islands to Prince Rupert. She has explored the spectacular Queen Charlotte Islands as well as circumnavigation of Vancouver Island. She has skippered charters in the Caribbean and has sailed through much of the West Coast from Alaska to California.

A brief summary of some of her adventures includes::

Cruising

A 2 1/2 year circumnavigation of the Pacific Ocean via New Zealand and Japan with her two sons aged 4 and 10. Her book entitled, Kids for Sail, (Orca Books, 1991) highlights the incredible voyage that sparked her love for sailing and passion for ocean adventure. She has written extensively for local magazines and her articles on cruising have appeared in Pacific Yachting and 48 degrees North.

Racing

In addition to the local Vancouver racing scene, Pamela has participated in the Victoria Maui and Marblehead (Boston to Halifax) races as the navigator and has been closely involved in the organization of the Vic-Maui Yacht Race, as Chairman for the 2006 and 2008 races.

Other

As an avid athlete in many sporting and outdoor activities, Pamela seeks and enjoys both land and water-based adventures to compliment each sailing voyage. She has extensive local knowledge of spectacular hiking trails, protected kayaking anchorages, hidden seafood areas, and a long list of local contacts in each region to ensure everyone's needs and wishes are met.

Pamela's love for sailing, cooking, entertaining, and BC's spectacular coastline makes chartering the perfect business. She has a Masters in Applied Communication and has recently retired from an active career in the investment business. Pamela has two adult sons, and an adorable sea-friendly spaniel named Riley.
